Introduction

My maritime journey did not begin with a course, it began during childhood along South Africa’s West Coast. Growing up around fishing, crayfishing, water sports and operating family RIBs gave me early exposure to life at sea and developed a natural confidence on the water, strong situational awareness and practical boat-handling instincts that I now bring into my professional approach onboard. For me, yachting is far more than simply a job opportunity, it is a long-term career path and lifestyle that I am fully committed to pursuing. I am seeking a position onboard a professional, well-run motor yacht where I can contribute from day one while continuing to develop my skills and experience within the industry. I am particularly motivated to join a crew that values teamwork, strong work ethic and high standards, while allowing me to gain further experience in all aspects of deck operations, including maintenance, washdowns, line handling, tender driving and guest interaction. I take pride in maintaining exceptional standards in every task entrusted to me, whether assisting with technical work, completing detailed washdowns or ensuring the vessel is presented to the highest standard at all times. I am detail-oriented, physically fit, quick to learn and able to take direction well while remaining calm and focused in demanding environments. Comfortable with long hours and physically demanding work, I approach every responsibility with professionalism, energy and a positive attitude. What sets me apart is not only my strong work ethic, but also my genuine connection to the ocean and the yachting lifestyle. This is not a career path I recently discovered, it is something I have grown up with and intentionally pursued. I am eager to add value from day one, support the crew wherever needed and continue developing into a dependable, knowledgeable and hardworking deckhand.

I enjoy a wide range of active sports including rugby, indoor cricket (I have Western Province Colours), golf, fishing, mountain biking, tennis & padel, which reflect my competitive mindset, strong teamwork skills & love for the outdoors.
